Eden Shopping Centre in High Wycombe is hosting a weeklong Roar & Explore event featuring life-size animatronic animals this May Half Term.

The event offers a free, educative experience aimed at children of all ages to learn about the importance of endangered species.

Families are invited to witness these fantastic creatures, be it Louis the Orangutan or King the Lion, each day of the week until Friday, May 31.

The immersive event provides a novel opportunity for families to come face to face with a different animatronic animal each day.

The wildlife spectacle includes characters like Gambit the Giant Crocodile, a pair of Hippo & Rhino babies and Kong the Gorilla.

Eden Shopping Centre has expanded the event to walk-ins due to the overwhelming demand it has generated among the community.

An informative trail across the shopping centre aids in exploring the importance of the species in focus.

Families can delve deeper into understanding the species, the habitats they reside in, their behaviour, and more under the guidance of trained Eden safari guides accompanying the life-size creatures.

Eden Shopping marketing manager, Rebecca Gomme, shared her excitement about the event: "This inclusive event is designed to provide local families with a hands-on, immersive learning experience this May Half Term.

"At Eden, we believe learning should be fun and accessible, and what better way to captivated children’s imaginations than by bringing the wonders of the animal kingdom directly to them."

In addition to the educational journey, families have the chance to partake in hidden fact-finding missions to win exciting prizes.

As a different animal graces the centre each day, the community can explore and engage extensively throughout the week.

The Roar & Explore event ensures a lively half-term for the children of the Buckinghamshire community, turning the Eden centre into a hub of education and entertainment outside the school premises.
