DOGS Trust is offering free workshops this summer to help families understand dogs and learn how to live happily and safely alongside them. 

The charity, which finds new homes for thousands of dogs every year, is offering the ‘How to stay safe this summer’ workshops to families with children aged seven and over. 

The 90-minute workshops must be booked in advance as places are limited. 

They will be held at:   

  • Dogs Trust West London in Harvil Road, Harefield, on Wednesday, August 3, Thursday, August 11, Wednesday, August 17, and Wednesday, August 31, all at 2pm 
  • Beaconsfield Library on Thursday, August 18, at 2pm 
  • Oak Farm Library, Hillingdon, on Monday, August 1, at 10am 
  • Ickenham Library on Monday or Tuesday, August 15-16 at 10am (dates to be confirmed)

Dogs Trust Education Officer Rosie Allen said: “We explore everything from what dogs need to feel safe and comfortable, to how we can understand their body language.” 

Children must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs will be present at the workshops.
