This week there is a lot of work to trees being carried out, but you'll also find some extensions, a loft conversion, and one property being converted from offices into residential units.

13 Green Lane, Watford WD19 4NL. Works to trees under TPO 32 (T1 Copper Beech) Work required- Option 1- (recommended) Section dismantle tree to ground level using rigging techniques. Cut stump as close to tree's current ground level as possible and treat with glyphosate to prevent regrowth. Reason - Tree in poor condition with decay cavities and woodpecker holes in central stems, crack on trunk and fungi with appearance of Meripulus Sp. at base of trunk.

7 Coombe Hill Road, Mill End WD3 8NE. Single storey front extension and first floor rear extension.
Rickmansworth Library, High Street, Rickmansworth WD3 1EH. 1 x Ash crown reduce all round by 30 per cent, raise crown to 3m, cut back from building, remove major deadwood. Tree causing damage to guttering and obstruction out of window.
Waverley Lodge Drive, Loudwater WD3 4PT. Tree number - G1 - Option 2 Tree type - 8 x Sycamore (Acer pseudoplatanus) - right hand boundary Approx Height - 12m Service - Crown Reduction Service - Fell Work required- Fell 4 x trees as close to tree's current ground level as possible and leave the stumps in the ground (do not treat with glyphosate due to risk of cross contamination to retained trees). Permission already granted for these works. Reduce remaining 4 x trees all round by up to 2.5m, pruning to growth points or branch fork junctions where possible. Reason - To remove poorly formed specimens or those with defects from the group, giving retained trees more space, reducing maintenance requirements and allowing more light to property.
