People evacuated as fire crews called to Harlington
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at an outbuilding in Seaton Road, Harlington, on Friday (19).
Part of a single-storey outbuilding was damaged and crews evacuated around 12 people from surrounding properties. There were no reports of injuries.
A 25-metre cordon was put in place as a precaution and firefighters removed and cooled two gas cylinders as they can explode when exposed to heat.
The brigade was called at 11.07pm and the fire was under control by four minutes past midnight. Two fire engines from Hayes and Heathrow attended.
The blaze is believed to have involved cooking.
