FRIENDS and families are invited to celebrate the lives of loved ones in the first Michael Sobell Hospice Summer Memory Walk.

With a 2km or 10km route as options, walkers will start at Merchant Taylors’ School in Moor Park on Saturday, July 30.

They will either make their way around the school’s picturesque lake, or head on past the Hampermill Lake, through Eduby Way, and back around Croxley Common Moor, an untouched haven for wildlife.

Walkers will be invited to write a special dedication to their loved ones on the charity’s pop-up memory wall.

The hospice receives only 40% of the funds required to run its service from the NHS, and the charity strives to raise the remaining £1.3m needed each year.

You can register your place from £15 and can take part in the walk solo or as part of a team. Under 13s walk free and each walker will receive an event T-shirt to wear on the day.
