People who have lost loved ones will gather to remember them at a memorial event.

Peace Hospice Care will hold its Lights of Love commemoration ceremony outside Watford town hall tonight at 7pm, with songs, readings, music, and the chance to dedicate a light.

This year, the Lights of Love tree will be switched on by Lucy Petagine, whose mother was cared for by the hospice.

Lucy said: "The care my mum received at the hospice was exceptional. I know that my mum felt very welcome and all the staff were very attentive and caring, not only for my mum but for our whole family and the hospice feels like a second home.

“The nurses were some of the kindest people I've ever met and I will always cherish their kindness, love and support."
