An arrest has been made after reports of parcels being stolen in High Wycombe.

Thames Valley Police said it attended the town yesterday and arrested a male on suspicion of theft.

Officers seized an amount of suspected stolen property and now an investigation is ongoing in relation to these items.

The arrested person has been released on bail.

A police spokesperson said: "Our thanks go to the members of the public and businesses who assisted officers with the investigation yesterday."

It comes less than two months after a woman was arrested in Winslow after reports of parcels being stolen from doorsteps.

The 47-year-old was released on bail and residents were told to be vigilant following the incident.

There is no indication that these two incidents are linked at this time.
