Wildlife filmmaker Gordon Buchanan is bringing his celebrated stage tour to High Wycombe

The show, titled Lions and Tigers and Bears, comes as part of a 30-date tour across England and Scotland and follows the success of Lions and Tigers and Bears with Gordon Buchanan in 2025.

Mr Buchanan said: "I had a wonderful time touring Lions and Tigers and Bears last year – and I had to say ‘Yes’ when the chance came up to go back out on the road to a load of new venues.

"We joked that it sounded like a line from The Wizard of Oz – but the show is all about these amazing creatures, the undisputed icons of the animal kingdom, who I have been incredibly privileged to spend a lifetime observing."

Mr Buchanan's adventures have taken him from forests to snowy landscapes and to the depths of the great rainforests, always with the aim of capturing the majestic bears and big cats on film and revealing their secrets to a global audience.

He added: "From pandas in China to orphaned grizzlies in Russia, from high-altitude tigers in the Himalayas to jaguars in the depths of the Amazon, I have been fortunate enough to meet many of these incredible creatures in their natural habitats – and I love being able to share their secrets with audiences.

"I cannot wait to get back out there, to meet more animal lovers and to tell more tales of amazing adventures."

Hailed as Scotland’s own David Attenborough, Mr Buchanan has spent more than 30 years filming wildlife around the globe.

He began his career in 1989 as an assistant to survival cameraman Nick Gordon and later worked on the iconic BBC series Big Cat Diary.

He has since become a familiar face through documentaries such as the long-running Family & Me series, as well as Our Changing Planet and Big Cats 24/7.

The February 2026 show in High Wycombe promises to be an evening of captivating stories, behind-the-scenes insights and breathtaking wildlife footage from Mr Buchanan’s travels.

The 30-date tour will take him to towns and cities including Oxford, Weymouth, Swindon, Cheltenham, Shrewsbury, Loughborough, Northampton, and Coventry.

Each evening will offer audiences the chance to hear first-hand accounts of close encounters with some of the planet’s most iconic – and endangered – animals.

For those who have followed Mr Buchanan’s career or simply love the natural world, it promises to be an unmissable night of exploration and storytelling.

Mr  Buchanan will appear at the Wycombe Swan Theatre in High Wycombe on Wednesday, February 11.
