A well-loved musical is set to dazzle Milton Keynes next summer.

Producers Michael Harrison and David Ian have announced that their popular production of Annie will be touring the UK and Ireland, including a stop at Milton Keynes Theatre.

The show will run from Tuesday, July 21 to Saturday, July 26, 2026.

Casting details for the tour are expected to be revealed soon.

Set in 1930s New York during the Great Depression, the musical follows the story of young Annie, who is trapped in Miss Hannigan’s orphanage.

Her life takes a turn for the better when she is chosen to spend Christmas with billionaire Oliver Warbucks.

But not all is straightforward, as Miss Hannigan has other plans to disrupt Annie's search for her real family.

The production includes a Tony Award-winning book and score and features memorable songs such as It’s the Hard Knock Life, Easy Street, I Don’t Need Anything But You, and Tomorrow.

Annie has music by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and a book by Thomas Meehan.

The show is directed by Curve’s artistic director Nikolai Foster, with set and costume design by Colin Richmond, choreography by Nick Winston, lighting by Ben Cracknell, and sound design by Richard Brooker.

The upcoming tour is produced by Michael Harrison and David Ian and has been licensed by Music Theatre International (MTI).
