There is severe traffic amid a flood reportedly caused by a burst water main, spilling down a field onto a Bucks A-road.

The A4155 Marlow Road between Marlow and Bourne End has had slow traffic in both directions this morning, March 5, and the Free Press has heard reports of a foot of water on the road.

The congestion is ongoing as cars drive slowly through the water.

On the Positively Marlow Facebook group, Elysia Hix stated: "Not sure if this has already been posted but AVOID THE ROAD BETWEEN MARLOW AND BOURNE END - it’s a river and becoming a bit dangerous."

Andy Ward commented: "Water has poured down from Little Marlow and very deep for a long way.

"Big queues both ways."

Tina Ashburner said: "It’s pretty frighting to drive through.

"Once you’re in it, the only way is to keep going… and it just gets deeper!"

Christine Hunter added: "Took me 30 mins from Oak Tree Road to the Marlow Bypass at 8.30."

People reported that their cars were "filthy", and were left with brown and white residue after driving through.
