Emergency services have been called to two separate fires in Slough over the weekend, with dramatic video footage emerging from both incidents.

The first fire broke out on Saturday, August 8, near the junction of St Paul's Avenue and Cumbrae Close.

Thames Valley Police said officers were assisting fire crews at the scene and urged nearby residents to keep their windows and doors closed while the blaze was brought under control.

In a statement, the force said: "If you live nearby, please keep windows and doors shut for the time being while the fire is brought under control."

Residents were also asked to avoid the area to allow emergency services to work safely.

Footage from the scene showed large plumes of smoke rising above the surrounding area as firefighters battled the blaze.

A second fire was then reported on Sunday, August 9, at the Foyer building on Stoke Road in Slough.

Video shared on social media showed smoke billowing from the property as emergency services attended.

The causes of both fires have not yet been confirmed.

It is currently unclear whether anybody was injured in either incident.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service has been approached for further information about both fires, including the scale of the response and whether investigations into the causes are underway.

More information is expected as emergency services continue their inquiries.
