A community is rallying together to raise funds for a project.

Residents and Hanslope Parish Council have launched a campaign to raise £150,000 to revitalise Hanslope Pavilion, which serves as a central hub for sports, social events, and community gatherings.

The Hanslope Pavilion Regeneration Project aims to transform the facility into a modern, inclusive space that will benefit residents of all ages.

The plans include refurbishing existing changing rooms, expanding the sports hall, and adding new areas for cultural, social, and wellbeing activities.

The group behind the project said: "This project is not just about bricks and mortar — it’s about bringing people together, enhancing wellbeing, and building a stronger sense of community.

"The regenerated Pavilion will become the beating heart of Hanslope — a place that offers opportunity, connection, and inspiration for all."

Supporters say the pavilion has long been a place where villagers gather to play, celebrate, and connect, but the current facilities no longer meet the needs of Hanslope’s growing and increasingly diverse community.

The improvements are intended to foster healthier lifestyles by encouraging greater participation in sports and fitness activities, supported by a larger sports hall and modernised changing areas.

The campaign group said: "Improved facilities will encourage participation in sports and fitness, boosting both physical and mental wellbeing.

"The Pavilion will provide a place where everyone — regardless of age, background, or circumstance — feels welcome and connected."

Plans for the pavilion include a new café designed to serve as a welcoming social hub, especially for older residents, with the aim of helping to reduce loneliness and isolation.

The group also hopes to celebrate creativity by incorporating community artwork throughout the building, while a dedicated arts room will provide space for learning, collaboration and cultural activities.

Other proposed features include an upstairs bar and balcony for post-match gatherings and events.

Emphasis is being placed on ensuring the pavilion is financially self-sustaining, with funds raised through events and commercial activity to support ongoing maintenance and programming.

The vision for the upgraded facility is rooted in inclusivity and community spirit.

The campaign group said: "At its heart, the Hanslope Pavilion Regeneration Project is about enhancing quality of life and building unity.

"It’s about ensuring that every resident — young or old, new or long-established — has a place to belong."

Support for the project has already begun to grow, with a GoFundMe page launched to help reach the £150,000 target.

Organisers are calling on investors, supporters, and the wider community to get involved.

The group said: "Together, we can make Hanslope Pavilion not just a building — but a symbol of everything our village stands for."
