Woman found dead at a Bucks property has been identified as the murder investigation continues.

At around 6 pm on Sunday, May 24, officers from Thames Valley Police attended a property in East Moor Drive in Wolverton Mill, Milton Keynes following reports made around a concern for welfare.

Upon attending, the authorities found a woman had died at the location.

The woman has been formally identified as 58-year-old Achamma John.

A Home Office post-mortem examination found the provisional cause of her death to be a traumatic head injury with stab wound to the chest.

An inquest into her death was opened and adjourned at Milton Keynes Coroners’ Court on Monday, June 8.

Following the discover, a 58-year-old man from Milton Keynes was arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday, May 24.

He has since been detained under Section 2 of the Mental Health Act.

Detective Chief Inspector Will Crowther, senior investigating officer, said: "We are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

"We request that the family’s privacy is respected at this extremely difficult time.

"Our family liaison officers continue to support them."
