A Thames Valley policeman is alleged to have touched women inappropriately while on a night out.

Police constable Cameron Challis, who is still serving, is accused of inappropriate conduct towards female colleagues while off-duty.

It has been alleged that between 2023 and 2024, Mr Challis, while on nights out and under the influence of alcohol, made inappropriate comments and touched female colleagues without their consent.

Mr Challis will appear at a misconduct hearing at Thames Valley Police’s headquarters in Kidlington for six days starting on October 5.

The officer is charged with breaching the standards of professional behaviour relating to authority, respect, courtesy and discreditable conduct.

The appropriate authority claims that if these allegations are proven, Mr Challis' conduct would amount to gross misconduct, justifying dismissal.

The hearing will be presided over by a panel chaired by assistant chief constable Dennis Murray.
