Temperatures could reach as high as 14 °C in Buckinghamshire as the start of spring edges closer.

The beginning of 2026 was one of the wettest on record for the county and the county as a whole, with it raining every day for the first six weeks.

Things have improved since the end of February, and following the start of March, the sun has been out with the humidity reaching the mid-teens, without a doubt the highest it has been in the UK for several months.

According to the MET Office, things will get better as the week progresses, with highs of nearly 20 expected to arrive by the end of the week.

The hottest day is set to be Thursday, March 5, with temperatures rising in Buckinghamshire to around 17.

The official start of spring will take place on Friday, March 20.
