Police are appealing for witnesses following the robbery of a 13-year-old boy in Southcourt last week.

The boy was walking on Churchill Avenue on November 26 when three teenagers started to follow him from around The Church of The Good Sheppard.

When he passed Cottesloe Park one of the boys jogged past him to block his way and the others stopped behind him.

The teen in front of the victim grabbed him by the throat, pushed him to the ground and demanded he hand his phone over.

The victim complied and the offenders ran off, the boy sustained no injuries during the incident.

The offender who assaulted the victim is described as a white male, approximately 15-years-old and around 5ft 5ins tall.

He was wearing a black puffer style coat with a beige fur lined hood which was up.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Carolyn Bailey, based at Aylesbury police station, said: "This was a distressing incident for the victim and I am keen to identify those involved.
