Stowe House is set to welcome families for a half-term of fun activities.

The historic house will host a range of events, including Halloween trails, crafts, storytelling, games, and stargazing.

The Boo! Clue Trail

The Boo! Clue Trail will run from October 27 to November 2, from 10.30am to 3pm.

This Halloween adventure is designed for children aged 5 to 10, who can follow a trail of riddles and puzzles in the house.

Every child who completes the trail will receive a Halloween treat.

Costumes are encouraged, and the trail is free with admission.

Children can also take part in the Make & Take: Woolly Spooks craft activity.

Stargazing at Stowe

On October 29, the Stars at Stowe Stargazing event will take place.

This event, in collaboration with UK Astronomy, will include a talk and the chance to look through telescopes to discover planets and constellations.

Tickets for this event are £18 for adults and £12 for children.

Once Upon A Scream

Once Upon A Scream will take place on October 31.

This event will include not-so-terrifying tales, games, and laughter.

There are two sessions available: 3.30pm to 4.30pm for ages 5 to 7, and 6pm to 7.30pm for ages 8 to 12.

Tickets for this event are £8 for one child and one adult, and £5 for each additional child.

There is parking available at the house, and children go free with a paying adult.

The last admission is at 3pm, and the house closes at 3.30pm.

The Stowe House Preservation Trust, an independent charity, is responsible for the restoration and maintenance of the Grade I listed Stowe House.

The trust relies on visitor income and donations to fund its restoration work.

Tickets for the events can be booked on the Stowe House website.
