Details of this year’s pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, have been revealed ahead of its festive run at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.

The show will run from Friday, December 4, 2026, to Sunday, January 3, 2027, and marks the first time the theatre has staged Sleeping Beauty since 2013.

West End star Charlotte Kennedy will take on the role of Princess Rose.

Ms Kennedy said: "I am excited to be in Aylesbury this Christmas at such a gorgeous theatre and looking forward to playing Princess Rose.

"Wake up, everyone… Sleeping Beauty is coming to town!"

Ms Kennedy's stage credits include Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady on the UK and Ireland tour, and Cosette in Les Misérables at the Queen’s Theatre in the West End.

She joins a cast that includes Laura Main from Call the Midwife as Fairy Snowfall, Jordan Lee Davies as the wicked fairy Carabosse, and Andy Collins from BBC 3 Counties Radio as Lester the Jester.

Leon Craig will appear as Nanny Nora, with David Ribi from Milkshake! as Prince Vincent.

The cast gathered at Horwood House to launch the pantomime season, donning costumes and posing with props for promotional filming and photography.

The show is a collaboration between the theatre and UK Productions.

Martin Dodd, managing director of UK Productions, said: "Having appeared in countless West End musicals, Charlotte Kennedy is a real class act, and we are delighted that she will be joining the fabulous company of Sleeping Beauty this Christmas at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.

"With a magical story, spectacular sets, and an infamous water fight, this pantomime is one you won't want to sleep through.
