A school has been praised for helping “pupils and adults to flourish.”

Great Missenden Church of England Combined School's Statutory Inspection of Anglican & Methodist Schools (SIAMS)  inspection report highlighted its supportive community.

The report celebrated the school’s Christian vision and the high level of care it provides for pupils, staff and families.

Johnny Magee, headteacher at Great Missenden Church of England Combined School, said: "We are incredibly proud of this report and what it says about our school and our village.

"Great Missenden is a special community, and this reflects what can be achieved when school, families and the church work closely together for the benefit of our children."

Inspectors praised the school’s partnership with the Diocese of Oxford, the Great Learners Trust and governors.

They also highlighted the school’s high expectations and inclusive culture.

The report noted that pupils felt empowered, saying they “understand that their voices matter and that they can make a positive difference.”

The school’s strengths in religious education were also highlighted in the inspection.

Inspectors suggested developing pupils’ understanding of spirituality and belief as a next step—an area the school said it is already planning to address.
