Curious pupils put their MP and a councillor in the hot seat during a recent school visit.

Sarah Green, MP for Chesham and Amersham, and Councillor Thomas Pirouet visited Curzon Church of England Combined School, High Wycombe.

They toured the school, met with pupils and staff, and saw learning in action across the classrooms.

A highlight of their visit was a Q&A session with Key Stage 2 school councillors, who posed questions about values and public service.

The children's questions included 'what are your values?' and 'what is the hardest part about your job?'

A spokesperson for the school said: "We are incredibly proud of the confidence, curiosity and insight displayed by our children.

"They listened carefully to the responses and engaged in a respectful and meaningful discussion about leadership, responsibility and service to the community.

"There may even be some future MPs among them!"
