A primary school near High Wycombe has confirmed that they are not converting into a ‘special school' following numerous rumours and speculation.

Lane End Primary, which is based along Edmonds Road, had been subjected to untrue allegations about its future.

The school currently looks after children aged between two and 11 of all abilities.

In a statement that was published on October 2, they said: “We have heard the false rumour that our school is converting into a special school.

“This is not true. We are on a journey to academise as a mainstream primary.

“We’re sticking to our roots and are committed to the same fantastic community we’ve built together.

“If you want to know more, get involved and look out for our next meeting dates.

“Thanks for staying informed and focusing on the facts.”

In their most recent Ofsted report, Lane End Primary School was marked ‘good’.
