A pre-inquest review into the death of an 'incredibly intelligent, spirited, and kind-hearted girl’ is due to take place this week.

Emma Small was found dead on February 4, 2023, at her home address in Princes Risborough.

An inquest into her death began on August 15 2023, at Beaconsfield Coroner’s Court after Buckinghamshire’s Senior Coroner Crispin Butler opened the investigation.

At the initial hearing, Ms Small’s family and a friend were present at the opening, which is part of the "early stage of evidence gathering," Mr Butler said.

Legal counsels for the family, Buckinghamshire Council, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust and Hightown Housing Association also attended.

It has now been confirmed that a pre-inquest review into Ms Small’s passing will commence this Thursday, February 5.

A GoFundMe page was set up following Emma’s death, with the money raised going towards the Samaritans charity.

In total, £1,410 was raised for the cause.
