A popular café in High Wycombe has temporarily closed due to a renovation.

Muffin Break, which is based inside the town’s Eden Shopping Centre, confirmed its closure at the end of February/start of March.

Images obtained by the Free Press showed tradespeople inside the café on Monday, March 2, installing new features.

According to a notice on the café’s window, it is due to reopen on Saturday, March 7.

On Google, the High Wycombe branch of Muffin Break has a score of 3.9/5 from 306 reviews.

One reads: “Visited Muffin Break for a quick coffee break and was pleasantly surprised.

“The oat latte was well crafted with smooth foam art and a rich, balanced flavour.

“The chocolate-filled Oreo croissant was fresh, buttery, and generously stuffed with Oreo buttercream, with a delightful drizzle of chocolate on top.

“The overall presentation was neat, and the service was prompt.

“A cosy and clean spot perfect for a relaxed break or casual meet-up.”

Another reads: "They’ve got great muffins and cakes - very soft and great taste.

"There’s a great variety of flavours too.

"I got Apple and cinnamon and blueberry ones - they both are great.

"I came to visit for the second time and tried their cake (coffee cake).

"It was amazing - soft and with plenty of flavour.

"The price is so good for such a big slice.

"Will visit again next time in High Wycombe."
