No one has been charged in connection with a fatal crash in High Wycombe which killed two young men last summer, police say.

Thames Valley Police said no further action will be taken following an investigation into the collision on Daws Hill Lane in July 2025.

Kristof Csaba Csillag, 20, and Sameer Ali Akhtar, 19, died after a crash at the roundabout linking Daws Hill Lane with Kennedy Avenue at around 7.40pm on July 24.

Mr Csillag was pronounced dead at the scene at 9.14pm, while Mr Akhtar died the following day at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

The crash involved three cars — a black Audi, a grey Volkswagen Polo and a Honda Jazz — and those close to the scene reported hearing an 'explosion'.

Firefighters were seen tackling a blaze in the middle of the roundabout while police cordoned off the area.

Following the incident, two men from High Wycombe, aged 21 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The 21-year-old was released on bail until October 21, while the 20-year-old was bailed until October 16.

It has now been confirmed that no charges have been brought.

Inquests into the deaths of Mr Csillag and Mr Akhtar are due to take place at Beaconsfield Coroner’s Court on June 16.

Assistant Coroner McCormick previously said the date would allow sufficient time for the investigation to be completed, including a forensic collision report. The inquests are expected to last around three hours.

Opening hearings into both deaths took place last year.

Mr Akhtar’s hearing, held on September 25, lasted around five minutes, while Mr Csillag’s was held on December 1, where it was confirmed he was identified by Thames Valley Ambulance staff using DNA testing.
