There have been different outcomes for plans to redevelop the upper floors of a Wycombe tattoo and piercing parlour and a Princes Risborough takeaway into homes this week.

These are just two of the many applications considered by Buckinghamshire Council during the past seven days.

PL/26/00972/PAPCR | Prior Notification under Class MA of Part 3, Schedule 2 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 - Change of use of Class E building into four residential units and reduction of ground floor retail unit | 28 High Street High Wycombe Buckinghamshire HP11 2AG

The application for the town centre location states that it "seeks to revive the existing building and provide High Wycombe with sustainable residential development".

On March 31, Buckinghamshire Council has approved the plans for flats above Woody's tattoos, which will also reduce the size of the studio below.

The entire building previously only had permission to be used for retail or service work, but will now become four residential units.

It sits between two listed buildings at 27 and 29 High Street within the High Wycombe Conservation area.

The developers stated: "As the proposed development at 28 High Street is entirely internal works, there will be no impact on the character or appearance of the conservation area.

"The setting of the adjacent listed buildings at No.27 and No.29 will be fully preserved, with no visual or physical changes to their surroundings."

A bid to convert Golden House, a Chinese takeaway in Princes Risborough, into a home has been withdrawn.

Bucks Council Development Manager, Ian Zabala-Beck stated that the file has been closed for the application on March 31.

This comes after plans were shared for a two-floor house with three bedrooms was proposed for the building on the A4010.

The green light was given for plans for an Amersham pub's frontage revamp on March 30.

The Grade II-listed Swan pub on the High Street has since said it is closing amid its refurbishments.

The plans state: "The proposed scheme does not involve any deviation from the existing use as a pub, instead it seeks to upgrade the building’s exterior and thus maintain an appropriate level of visual interest on the street.

"The proposal has been designed to respect the prominent features associated with the building wherever possible and improve the overall quality of the shopfront and signage in accordance with Amersham Conservation Area."
