A popular restaurant chain has relaunched its £1 mains offer, giving diners the chance to enjoy a meal out for less this summer.

Pizza Express is offering customers a second main dish for just £1 when they purchase another main.

The deal is available across the UK and Ireland and applies to pizzas, pasta dishes and salads, including favourites like the Margherita and American Hot.

The offer is available all day for dine-in meals, click-and-collect, and deliveries through the Pizza Express app or website. It is not valid via third-party delivery services.

The promotion began on June 1 and will run until July 12.

It follows a similar £1 mains deal launched earlier this year, which proved popular with customers.

The offer does not include airport branches, Pizza Express Live venues or supermarket pod locations.

To redeem the offer, customers must order through the Pizza Express app or website.

The company announced the deal at the end of May, generating excitement ahead of its summer launch.

Pizza Express says the offer is available nationwide, giving customers the chance to enjoy a second main for less than the cost of a drink.

US fast food chain to rival McDonald’s as it comes to UK

A US Tex-Mex food chain is planning a major comeback to the UK, rivalling the likes of McDonald's.

Chili’s Grill & Bar has confirmed it is relaunching in the UK after more than 15 years, with hopes of eventually opening more than 100 restaurants across the country.

Chili’s originally arrived in Britain during the 1990s and operated restaurants in places including Cambridge, Reading and London’s Canary Wharf.

However, by 2009, every UK branch had closed.

Now, the company is making a fresh attempt at cracking the UK market, aiming to open a flagship restaurant within the next 12 to 18 months before it aims to roll out more sites, reports Need To Know.

The brand has partnered with The Franchising Centre on these relaunch plans.

Industry insiders say they believe the chain could open between 85 and 100 restaurants if successful.

Potential locations currently being considered include London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Liverpool, Milton Keynes, Reading, and Solihull, according to reports.
