A person had to be cut out of a vehicle after suffering neck and chest injuries in a crash on a busy High Wycombe road.

Emergency services were called to Amersham Hill at around 3.27pm today (April 8) after reports of a crash involving two vehicles.

Two crews of firefighters from High Wycombe fire station attended and found one person 'medically trapped' having suffered injuries to their neck and chest.

They were freed from the vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment.

Immediate emergency care was provided during the rescue with the person being handed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Thames Valley Police also attended the scene with the road having now reopened.
