Patients registered at Chiltern House Medical Centre in High Wycombe have been urged to take part in a survey to determine the future of the practice – after the partnership that provided its services was dissolved over the summer.

Bucks Clinical Commissioning Group is working with patients, staff and NHS England to develop plans for the centre, which is based in Temple End.

In July the future of Chiltern House and Dragon Cottage in Holmer Green was plunged into doubt after the partnership which holds the contract to provide primary care medical services was dissolved.

Dragon Cottage was shut down permanently in September after the building’s lease ended – however medical chiefs insisted services would continue at Chiltern House.

An interim contract is currently in place to maintain services for up to 12 months, and patients have been assured full and thorough planning will take place before changes are made.

Director of transformation at the CCG, Nicola Lester, said: “We are keen to work with the patients at Chiltern House Medical Centre and use this opportunity to find out what patients would value and what the services could look like in the future.

"We are hoping that as a result of feedback we receive, we will be able to really shape services to suit the needs of patients who use the practice."
