A former charity shop in High Wycombe is preparing to open as a new pottery studio and gallery, although a planned preview event has been pushed back by a week.

Max's Pottery is set to take over the former Cancer Research UK unit in the town centre, which has stood empty since the charity shop closed in December 2025.

Posters displayed in the window advertise the new business as a "studio, classes and gallery", offering pottery classes, memberships, open-access sessions and handmade ceramics.

An initial studio preview had been scheduled for September 12, but organisers have now moved the event to September 19.

The preview is a private, invitation-only event.

Work has been taking place inside the unit for several months ahead of the launch, which will bring a new creative business to a prominent town centre location.
