Families are being encouraged to get outdoors and explore refreshed nature trails this autumn.

WWF and Forestry England have updated their 20 Feel Good Forest Trails, including new trails at Wendover Woods in Buckinghamshire as well as Moors Valley and Wareham Forest in Dorset.

The seasonal updates are designed to help families connect with nature and improve wellbeing throughout the autumn months.

Jack Abrey, head of youth engagement at WWF-UK, said: "Since launching the Feel Good Forest Trails this year, it’s been brilliant to see so many families getting outside and connecting with nature.

"We want to make sure everyone can enjoy Forestry England’s amazing spaces at any time of year.

"From the buzzing of bees in the summer to the crunching of leaves in the autumn, the sights and sounds of nature are constantly changing.

"So, as the seasons change, our trails are changing with them, helping families engage with our forests all year round."

Each trail features forest-themed activities such as wildlife spotting and listening to the sounds of the trees.

The trails are part of WWF’s Prescription for Nature campaign, which aims to help families experience the health and wellbeing benefits of spending time outdoors.

The trails can be found on WWF’s interactive map and the Forestry England website.
