A model railway exhibition is set to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of the modern railway.

The High Wycombe and District Model Railway Society will host their second MRX25 exhibition of the year on November 15.

The event will feature 11 model railway layouts in various scales and gauges, including N, H0, 00, EM, 7mm, and 00-9 narrow gauges.

The society's junior modellers will also showcase their new layout, Shadwell East (00), demonstrating the progress and enthusiasm of the younger members.

Trade support will be present, offering ready-to-run models, previously loved models, and books.

The society is working with sponsors, The Transport Treasury and AGR Model Railway Store, Leighton Buzzard.

The exhibition will be held at Cressex Community Centre and Social Club, and will be open from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

Admission is £6 for adults, £1 for children aged six to 16, and free for children under six.

The exhibition is part of the Railway 200 celebrations, which commemorate the impact of the railway on Britain and the world.
