Staff from the Aylesbury McDonald's took part in a litter picking effort, working with other volunteers to clear up 42 bags worth of rubbish.

The McDonald's crew joined local litter-picking group Aylesbury Wombles in a day of action as part of the Great British Spring Clean, an initiative to keep community areas across the country tidy and litter-free.

A total of 31 volunteers, including the McDonald's team and the Wombles, worked together to pick up an impressive 42 bags worth of rubbish, covering more than 10 miles.

Local McDonald’s Franchisee, Don Gordon, who owns and operates the Aylesbury restaurants, and coordinated the initiative, said: “Seeing our teams step up and give their time to support the local area and take part in the litter pick has been incredibly rewarding.

"Their efforts to keep shared spaces clean and litter free help create a better and brighter place for those that live here.

"When our people come together in this way, it reflects the real passion and pride they have for the communities they serve.”
