Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a man has been charged with dangerous driving, drug driving and failing to stop offences in High Wycombe.

Christopher Mason, 40, of no fixed abode, was charged with one count each of the following on May 6:

·       Driving a motor vehicle dangerously

·       Causing serious injury by dangerous driving

·       Driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs

·       Driver of a vehicle fail to stop after road accident in Rutland Avenue, High Wycombe

·       Driver of a vehicle fail to stop after road accident in Spearing Road, High Wycombe

·       Harassment - breach of a restraining order on conviction

The charges are in connection with a collision that occurred at around 3.40pm on Sunday, May 3 on Cressex Road, High Wycombe, involving a black Volkswagen Golf and a Citroën C3.

The passenger in the Citroën, a woman in her 80s was taken to hospital for treatment.

Mason has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on June 2.
