A man has been charged with robbery after an incident where police officers stated they saw a woman 'being assaulted' in Bucks.

The woman was injured, and a 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene in Milton Keynes.

He is due to appear in court today, October 10.

Police stated that neighbourhood officers became aware of the incident while on foot patrol, being alerted to a 'woman in distress'.

The force stated that it had intercepted a robbery in progress.

It said: "Yesterday, while on foot patrol in the City Centre, our CMK Neighbourhood officers were alerted to a woman in distress.

"They arrived within minutes and witnessed her being assaulted — with CCTV also capturing the incident.

"Fortunately, the female victim sustained low level injuries and is being supported by officers.

"Following swift enquiries, a 32-year-old male was arrested at the scene and has now been charged with robbery.

"He is due to appear in court on 10/10/25.

"A huge thank you to our officers for their quick response and dedication to keeping our community safe."
