There is major train disruption on Chiltern Railways lines this weekend as engineering works between Denham and London Marylebone close all lines.

No trains are running between Gerrards Cross and Marylebone this weekend, November 8 - 9.

This is impacting routes between Banbury / Oxford / Oxford Parkway / Aylesbury, and London Marylebone, impacting Bucks stations.

There will be some rail replacement bus services between:

  • Gerrards Cross and Hillingdon via Denham to connect with London Underground Metropolitan and Central lines,
  • Bicester North and Aylesbury Vale Parkway via Bicester Village to connect with London Underground Metropolitan lines.

National Rail stated: "You can use your ticket at no extra cost on London Underground services on the Metropolitan, Central and Bakerloo lines.

"Due to the station access road being closed, along with the replacement of communications equipment at the station, Islip station will be closed and no trains will call from 22:00 on Saturday 8 November and throughout Sunday 9 November. This station closure coincides with the above detailed engineering work."

It added that replacement buses 'may be busier than usual'.
