Plans are under way for a major new £1bn data centre campus off the M25 in Bucks.

McLaren Construction has been brought in to deliver US developer Corscale’s £1bn data centre campus at Iver in Buckinghamshire.

Pre-construction activity will begin on July 1, with targeted practical completion in the final quarter of 2029.

Pre-construction activity will begin on July 1, with targeted practical completion in the final quarter of 2029.

Early-site work will focus on relocating two water mains by Affinity Water and implementing a full remediation strategy.

The 14-acre site, currently an industrial estate, is home to a variety of heavy industrial operations including garages, metal recycling, waste transfer, and concrete and aggregate storage.

The development will include two data centre buildings and a dedicated 140MVA substation.

Designed by Gensler, the scheme will feature architecture and cladding intended to complement an adjacent Grade II listed farmhouse, with attention paid to biodiversity.

A wider project team includes MEP delivery partner PhoenixME, engineering consultants L&P Group, and Cundall on MEP design support.
