The total number of lab-confirmed UK cases of Covid-19 now stands at 283,311.

According to the latest government figures, 1,650 more cases were diagnosed on Friday, June 5.

The total number of deaths in the UK now stands at 40,261 with 357 additional deaths announced in the latest government release.

In Buckinghamshire, there are a total of 1,016 confirmed cases of Covid-19. The rate is 188.1.

Rates are calculated by dividing the number of cases by the total population and multiplied by 100,000.

In Slough, there are now a total of 453 confirmed cases. The rate of infection in Slough currently stands at 303.8, higher than the national average of 275.6.

In Windsor and Maidenhead there are a total of 298 confirmed cases, with the Royal Borough having a much lower rate of infection (197.5)

In Oxfordshire there are 2,087 cases with a rate of 303.6 and in Hertfordshire there are 2,917 cases with a rate of 246.3.
