High Wycombe residents are being encouraged to donate unwanted items to a charity.

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) shop on White Hart Street is urging locals to take part in its annual Reuse Revolution campaign by donating quality items.

The campaign aims to fund "vital lifesaving research."

Lesley Breedyk, area manager at the BHF, said: "Spring is the season for a clear-out, so we’re asking people to have a ‘spring fling’—bag up what you no longer love or use and donate it to us."

The shop is particularly seeking menswear, trainers, and children’s books and accessories, but also accepts quality toys and bric-a-brac.

Donations can be dropped off at the shop during opening hours, posted for free with an online postage label, or collected for free if they are larger.

Each year, BHF shops raise millions to support research into cardiovascular disease.

In the UK, someone dies from heart and circulatory disease every three minutes.
