A corner shop in High Wycombe has failed a food hygiene inspection where they have been told that ‘improvement is necessary’.

Corner Express, which sits at the end of Roberts Road near the Hamilton Road junction, was assessed by Buckinghamshire Council on May 27.

The inspectors were not pleased with what they saw, as they gave the shop a rating of 2/5.

During their visit they said that while the shop’s confidence in management and hygiene are ‘generally satisfactory’, its structural compliance needs ‘necessary improvement’.

On Google, the shop has a score of 3.7/5 from 10 reviews.

One reads: “A great local corner express with a great top owner.

“Always friendly and best service.

“The main issue is just the parking. Always so hard to find a spot to park.

“Looks like the neighbours taking customers parking area’s fully rammed with their cars.”
