A YouTuber from High Wycombe who was seriously ill after contracting Covid-19 appears to have awoken from a two-month coma.

Grace Victory, 30, was admitted into intensive care on Christmas Day - just one day after giving birth to her first child.

Her son, who was due in February, had to be delivered months early.

She was placed in an induced coma as her Covid-19 symptoms worsened, with her family saying the move would "giver her body the rest it needs in order to recover".

But in a positive update, the YouTube star, who has more than 221,000 subscribers, appeared to return to social media with a tweet to her nearly 92,000 followers on Monday afternoon saying: "I'm awake."

A second message added: "Baby boy is thriving at home."

Grace's fans have been following her Covid battle closely with regular updates from her worried family.

On December 28 last year, Grace's loved ones posted on her Instagram page that she was stable and responding to treatment.

Her fans are overjoyed with the news she is out of her coma. One wrote: "I cannot even put into words how happy I am for you, your family, your beautiful baby boy."

Another said: "This has made me elated. I’m so glad you are awake and recovering. You are such a beautiful, strong soul. Time to enjoy your beautiful baby."

A third added: "Oh Grace, I’ve been hoping for this news everyday. Been thinking of you and your family, this is so wonderful."
