PL/26/01860/FA | Existing glazing to be removed and replaced with crittall style. New low level walls to be constructed to surround proposed seating area, clad in tile. Existing piers to be clad in the same tile finish. Existing brickwork chimneys to be painted black. Existing gutter and eaves to be overclad with standing seam fascia. | Empire Cinemas Crest Road High Wycombe Buckinghamshire HP11 1UA

Omniplex Cinemas Ltd had applied for the permission for a slew of changes at the site on Crest Road in the town.

In response to the plans, which were approved by Buckinghamshire Council, a highways officer said: “Whilst the proposed works to the front of the site appear to immediately abuts the adopted highway.

“I am confident that no conflict would exist with the latter or with the safe passage of pedestrians (nor would they interfere with the southern visibility splay from the car park/Holiday Inn access onto Crest Road).

“Mindful of these comments, I do not have any objections or conditions to recommend for this application with regard to highway issues.”

There were no representations from members of the public.

PL/26/04121/FA | Demolition of outbuilding (front barn and pig store) and construction of replacement outbuilding. | Gylescroft House Chesham Road Bellingdon Buckinghamshire HP5 2UR

Plans to demolish an outbuilding and replace it in a village near Chesham have been approved.

Mr O’Hare had his application given the green light for the property on Chesham Road.

In the planning statement it stated: “The proposed outbuilding will have the same footprint as the existing and will have the same height (ridge and eaves) and general form.

“The only notable changes are the addition of four dormer windows and one rooflight. The proposed outbuilding will be constructed of similar materials to the existing (brick, stone, timber and clay tiles).

“Therefore, for all intents and purposes, it is a ‘like for like’ replacement. The existing building is used as a home office and for storage (tools, garden equipment etc).

“The proposed building will have the same use. No changes to the site access are proposed or necessary.

“The proposed development will assimilate well with the character and layout of existing development in the area and will conserve the landscape setting of the Chilterns National Landscape.”

PL/26/04130/FA | Single storey rear conservatory | 4 Barnhill Road Marlow Buckinghamshire SL7 3EZ

A bid for a single storey conservatory at a house in Marlow has been approved.

Mrs Deering applied for permission for the work at the house on Barnhill Road.

Marlow Town Council said it did not object to the extension.

The authority said: “The applicant is encouraged to consider the incorporation of sustainable measures as part of the development, including: The use of rainwater run-off management solutions within the site to help reduce surface water flooding, minimise erosion, and protect local watercourses.

“The installation of solar panels where appropriate and practicable. The recycling or reuse of any removed materials wherever feasible, including through Freecycle or similar reuse schemes, in order to minimise waste and support sustainable resource management.”
