Less than a week after the shock closure of a Bucks town former Polish Club bar, its reopening has been announced for 'one last goodbye'.

The Amersham White Eagle Club, formerly Polish Club, bar was set to close its doors for the final time on Monday, November 3.

Members had expressed sadness when Club manager Ralph Gowling, confirmed the closure.

He said: "The bar has been faced with similar prospects to many bars in that it is no longer profitable."

Now, in a post on social media, a temporary reopening has been announced.

The post said: "The bar will be reopening at midday on Saturday, November 8 for one last goodbye by popular demand!!!

"Beers £2.50 and spirits £1.50 for members and their guests, free pool and Sky Sports Premier League matches.

"Kev will be your host for this special event from midday to 7.30pm depending on stocks lasting.

"Don't miss the final final farewell!!!

"The rest of the club continues as normal."

Despite the bar's closure, the White Eagle Club's other facilities have remained open including its hall, which has been used for wedding receptions, birthday parties, conferences, concerts, indoor sports events, wakes, and exercise classes.

When the bar closes its doors for a final time, again, members may choose to move over to the town's British Legion, according to a former committee member.

Henry Wizgier previously said: "This does not mean it’s the end for the club’s 300 odd members who have been welcomed with open arms by Amersham British Legion, who have even adjusted their opening hours from 7pm to 4pm, to suit the newcomers."
