A festive campaign is giving community groups the chance to win daily prizes.

Red Kite Community Housing is launching its 12 Days of Kindness campaign, offering £200 vouchers to organisations in need of extra support.

The campaign will run on Red Kite’s social media channels every weekday from December 1 to December 18, excluding Fridays.

Sophie Field, head of resident and community engagement at Red Kite, said: "We’re keen to support smaller local groups that we haven’t previously helped – if the group is recognised within the community it’ll be considered.

"If you know of any that could benefit from a financial boost, tell them about 12 Days of Kindness and make sure they get involved.

"We’d also encourage people to get their friends, family, and fellow community members to join in – and to share our posts on their own social media, using the hashtag #12DaysOfKindness, to help spread the word."

Supporters can nominate organisations by commenting on daily posts on Red Kite’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

Nominations close at 3pm each day, with winners announced after 4pm.

Groups not selected can be re-nominated on subsequent days.

This is the third year of the scheme, which saw more than 600 nominations last year and supported groups including One Can Trust and RiverLife Toddler and Community Group in Marlow.
