The former Primark store in High Wycombe town centre appears to have finally become vacant after House 2 Home completed its long-running closure process.

The homeware retailer moved into the prominent corner unit at the junction of Frogmoor and Priory Road in late 2024, taking over part of the space left behind when Primark relocated to Eden Shopping Centre.

However, in February 2025, the business announced it would be closing and began holding a series of closing sales.

Over the following months, signs advertising discounts and stock clearances remained in the shop windows as the retailer continued trading while reducing its inventory.

Now, nearly 18 months after those closure plans were first revealed, the store appears to have shut its doors for good.

Recent photographs show shutters pulled down on part of the building, large "Store Closing, Everything Must Go" posters still displayed in the windows and the interior almost entirely empty.

The House 2 Home branding has also been removed from sections of the frontage, leaving visible outlines where signage was previously installed.

The departure leaves one of the town centre's largest retail units vacant once again.

The building has experienced several changes in recent years, having previously been occupied by Primark before the fashion retailer moved across town to a larger unit inside Eden Shopping Centre.

It is not yet known what business could take over the site next.
