Tills and cigarettes were stolen in an early-hours burglary which saw a door smashed in at an A40 Esso garage.

The Holtspur petrol station, on Oxford Road, was burgled shortly before 3.40am on Monday, April 6.

The tills contained cash, and one was later found discarded by police.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) has launched a probe and is appealing for information in connection with the incident.

It is believed that at least one person had seen the abandoned till before it was identified.

No injuries were reported.
