A sensory garden is set to bloom with colour and texture through a green-fingered partnership.

The project at Butler’s Court School in Beaconsfield will be created with the support of the Dobbies Community Gardens initiative, as part of Dobbies Garden Centres’ support for 53 charities and community groups across the UK.

The school’s PTA was selected by Dobbies’ Beaconsfield store as its chosen recipient this year.

The garden will support pupils’ wellbeing, learning, and development, offering a calming and interactive outdoor space.

Paul Gibson, general manager at Dobbies Beaconsfield, said: "Thank you to everyone who applied to Dobbies Community Gardens this year.

"We received a fantastic selection of entries from inspiring groups across Beaconsfield, all with a shared passion for bringing their garden projects to life.

"Selecting the successful project has been incredibly difficult, but we’re delighted to be supporting Butler’s Court School PTA this year.

"Through this initiative, we’re helping communities to get growing while creating and enhancing green spaces for local people to enjoy.

"We’re looking forward to seeing how Butler’s Court School PTA develop and the positive difference they will make."

The project will engage children through plants, textures, colours, and scents, while also providing learning opportunities for the wider school community.

Dobbies will supply materials including bulbs, vegetable seeds, sensory plants, and expert guidance from its Green Team.

The garden centre will also offer volunteer hours and product donations, including plants, compost, grow-your-own items and essential gardening tools to help bring the space to life.
