A Michelin-starred pub in Marlow has been described as "fabulous" and serving "delicious" meals.

The Coach on West Street is a one-star Michelin British pub, "serving classic and inventive food."

On Tripadvisor, the pub has a rating of 4.1 out of 5 from more than 1,830 reviews, including 1,020 that are rated 'excellent'.

Elsewhere, on Google Reviews, The Coach has a rating of 4.4 out of 5 from more than 1,280 reviews.

The 'fabulous' Michelin-starred pub in Marlow

The Coach is famed for its seasonal menu, including several signature dishes offering "an outstanding taste experience in an informal setting", according to the pub's website.

The younger sister of the popular Hand and Flowers, The Coach is owned by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, with Head Chef Brad Cacela leading the kitchen.

Cacela creates menus where traditional dishes are given a contemporary twist, which Kerridge is known for.

Although a Michelin-winning spot, The Coach shares that it is a "relaxed and informal atmosphere where everyone is welcome".

Sharing that guests can feel a connection to the open kitchen and enjoy "the culinary theatre".

The pub offers three menus, with lunch/dinner, a set lunch and breakfast available, and is open every day except on Tuesdays.

Lunch and dinner menu items include deep-fried cod with pease pudding, braised lamb shoulder with smoked onion, jerk-spiced monkfish, The Coach burger with soy and sesame chicken, and The Coach chicken kiev.

Awarding the pub its one star, Michelin shared: "A cosy, compact pub it has a relaxed, informal vibe – and the sharing of dishes is positively encouraged.

"Lunchtime sees a set-priced menu, while dinner offers an extensive à la carte that includes everything from deep-fried cod with pease pudding or their ‘rotisserie of the day’ to sticky toffee pudding with beef suet.

"Cooking is of the highest order and the hugely satisfying dishes burst with punchy flavours."

On Tripadvisor, one visitor said: "Amazing, excellent food, great service, friendly staff and for a Michelin-starred restaurant, not stuffy at all. We will be back.

"All the food we ate was amazing, but the mussels got the top vote as the best we have had with a twist that needs to be seen and tasted."
