A shocking image shows the roof ripped off a truck after it “struck” a bridge outside a Bucks shopping centre.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) stated that people attending Centre:MK should expect “some disruption” today, April 10, after the incident and shared a warning to drivers of oversized vehicles.

It said: “Some disruption expected at Centre:MK today after a vehicle struck the bridge.

“Drivers of oversized vehicles should always check vehicle restrictions before committing to their journey.”

This comes a day after TVP Roads Policing patrols on the M1 near Milton Keynes which saw 27 offences “being dealt with” and three vehicles seized by the force.

Offences included careless driving, no insurance, excessive tints, causing undue dazzle and mobile phone offences.

In a social media update, the force stated: “We continue to patrol areas of concern and target offenders on high collision routes to help reduce casualties and save lives.”
