Comedian Lucy Porter is set to perform in Milton Keynes next month.

The Stables will host the comedian on October 3, 2026, where she will present her new show, Let Yourself Go.

This show, her eighteenth solo act, delves into the nuances of ageing and evolving.

Porter, known for her appearances on Live at the Apollo and QI, has created a career out of smart, engaging comedy.

Her new show reflects on the freedom that comes with midlife, discussing everything from Botox regrets to her love of garden centres.

The show’s title, Let Yourself Go, was inspired by a YouTube comment she saw after her appearance on Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

This prompted her to explore how she has changed over the years, and and how letting go might not be a crisis, but a calling.

The show will feature stories about clubbing in the '90s, working at Granada Television, and being married to a much taller man.

There may also be some embroidery and supportive words for those stuck in pub toilets in jumpsuits.

Porter has a broad career as a comedian, actress, writer, voiceover artist, and podcaster.

She is a familiar face on TV, with appearances on shows such as Mock the Week, Have I Got News for You, and Would I Lie to You.

Her acting roles include a period in BBC1’s EastEnders and the stage version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest in Edinburgh and London.

Porter also has a keen interest in quizzing.

She co-hosts the Fingers on Buzzers Podcast with Jenny Ryan from The Chase.

Lucy has also achieved some personal victories in the world of quizzing, including winning a Pointless trophy and becoming the Celebrity Mastermind Champion of Champions.

Her voice is frequently heard on BBC Radio 4, where she has her own series, In the Family Way.

She is also a regular on The News Quiz, The Now Show, The Unbelievable Truth, and Just a Minute.

Lucy is also a member of the board of Bristol’s annual Slapstick Festival.

Her new show will also be touring the UK, with dates in Leeds, London, Cambridge, and Sheffield.
