The opening date has been revealed for a new coffee shop set to open after a revamp of a former Bucks town Lloyd's Bank.

International franchise Esquires Coffee is set to have its first branch open in Chesham at 79 High Street on Wednesday, March 18.

The cafe's franchisees have described the space as being "thoughtfully designed".

They stated it has "a focus on quality, comfort, and community spirit, Esquires Organic Coffee aims to become a hub for social interaction while contributing to the continued vitality of Chesham’s town centre".

A planning application for the site said new windows and frontage would "restore a more traditional open and transparent shopfront appearance, consistent with historic retail architecture in the conservation area".

The franchisees added: "The opening marks a significant investment in the local area, transforming the High Street location into a contemporary café while maintaining a strong connection to the character and heritage of Chesham.

"The space has been created to encourage learning, conversation, and community engagement - offering an inviting environment for everything from morning coffee catch-ups to informal meetings and family visits.

"Esquires Organic Coffee looks forward to becoming part of daily life in Chesham and welcoming the community into its new home on the High Street."

It is set to open from 6.30am - 6.30pm seven days a week, serving freshly brewed coffee, breakfast, brunch, cakes, milkshakes and deli selections.

There are Esquires Coffee locations across Bucks, with stores in four Aylesbury shops, one in Gerrards Cross, and one in Buckingham.
